Company
Touch of Life Technologies creates career-long education solutions for health care students and professionals. ToLTech products grow with their users to meet their developing requirements for a thorough understanding of the human body. These education and training solutions employ the confidence-inspiring reality of the National Library of Medicine's Visible Human Project® color photographic image data and ToLTech's cutting edge visualizations that bring that content to life.
Software
Touch of Life Technologies (ToLTech) sells a full line of health education software under the name VH Dissector. The software is used in undergraduate, graduate and professional anatomy programs in more than 300 institutions throughout the world. The VH Dissector is the base product (an interactive atlas of human anatomy) and curricula or lessons are designed to guide learners with different objectives through the atlas for specific knowledge and levels of understanding.
Simulators
Touch of Life also develops medical procedure simulators that train the medical student or professional to a desired proficiency level and evaluates their mastery of the procedure. The company has developed and is currently selling a knee arthroscopy simulator in partnership with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), Arthroscopy Association of North America (AANA) and the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS).
Custom Solutions
ToLTech has produced a wide variety of customized products for university programs, the pharmaceutical industry and medical device companies. The latest product is a cystoscopy simulator for urologists to train to inject BOTOX® (onabotulinumtoxinA) in the bladder to treat incontinence resulting from neurologic conditions including Multiple Sclerosis and Spinal Cord Injuries. The photo below shows a cystoscopic view of the bladder on the screen along with the simulator used to provide the physician with haptic feedback while navigating the bladder and performing injections.
